RS485 USB DMX512 Interface Cable

This compact USB-to-DMX512 interface converts USB signals into robust RS485-compliant DMX traffic for controlling stage lights, dimmers and intelligent fixtures. Constructed with 1.8 m length, 26AWG 3-core conductors and 4.0 mm PVC-jacketed cable, it terminates in XLR 3-pin female connector on the DMX end and standard USB-A on the host side. Powered solely by USB bus, it integrates FT232 and SP485 ICs for reliable serial-to-RS485 conversion. Supports baud rates from 300 bps to 3 Mbps and transmission distances up to 5 km. Includes integrated ESD protection and 1024-byte EEPROM for device identification and firmware-level configuration. Compatible with Windows (XP through 10, all server/desktop/x64 variants), Linux, macOS (OS 8/9), Android and Windows RT using either VCP or D2XX drivers.
