Rubber Band Powered Foam Plane

This 47 × 45 cm foam glider combines simplicity of construction with authentic flight mechanics. Its lightweight body and balanced centre of gravity allow stable, extended glides after a single rubber band winding. The fuselage is reinforced at stress points to resist bending during take-off and landing, while the foam wings retain their aerodynamic profile after repeated use. Designed for immediate engagement, the kit includes only what’s needed: one complete aircraft set with clearly marked parts. No external power source, adhesives or cutting tools are required — just manual winding and release. Ideal for introducing primary-age learners to engineering thinking, iterative testing and observational analysis in natural outdoor settings.
