Self-Centering Zinc Wing Opener

A precision-engineered winged corkscrew made from solid zinc alloy, measuring 15 cm and weighing 120 g. Its defining feature is a self-centring spiral worm — thickened and lengthened for rigidity and deep cork engagement — paired with symmetrical bell-mouth levers that pivot smoothly around a central fulcrum. The entire unit is fully assembled and ready for immediate use, with no moving parts to loosen or wear out. The worm’s geometry ensures automatic axial alignment upon first contact with the cork, eliminating manual ‘squint-and-adjust’ steps. Lever arms amplify user input efficiently, translating modest hand pressure into strong, linear extraction force — ideal for aged or tightly sealed bottles. Finish is polished yet resistant to fingerprints and minor abrasion. Equally suited to novice users learning wine service and experienced hosts managing multiple bottles per evening — its predictability builds confidence, and its build quality ensures it remains functional and presentable through years of regular use.
