Single Cell 18650 Mounting Case

A minimalist, industrial-grade mounting solution for integrating one 18650 battery into custom-built equipment. The case is injection-moulded from glass-filled polypropylene for dimensional stability and impact resistance. Internal battery cavity measures 18.5mm diameter × 66.0mm depth with chamfered entry for smooth insertion. Contact interface consists of two opposing metal strips: one rigid nickel-plated brass negative contact, one preloaded phosphor bronze positive spring contact. Termination is via 150mm lengths of 20 AWG stranded copper wire with 1.5mm² cross-section, PVC-insulated and pre-tinned. Mounting uses two countersunk M3 screw holes (22mm pitch), compatible with standard DIN rail adapters and sheet-metal enclosures. No switches, fuses, or protection circuits — purely mechanical and electrical interface. Intended for use with externally managed battery management systems (BMS) or direct-load applications where user-controlled discharge and charging control is already implemented. Frequently specified in UK-made portable gas detectors, battery-powered flow meters, agricultural telemetry units, and classroom electronics training rigs where safety, repeatability, and service life are prioritised over aesthetics.
