Soft Touch Ostrich Marionette

This ostrich-themed hand marionette is fully handmade using ultra-soft, formaldehyde-free fabric with deeply saturated, non-fading pigments. At 25 cm tall and lightweight, it’s sized for easy grip and manipulation by preschool-aged children. Every seam is double-stitched and trimmed for durability and safety; the face includes hand-embroidered eyes and beak for expressive realism. Operation relies on one smooth wooden control stick: slight twists generate coordinated leg movement mimicking walking, while gentle up-down motion produces subtle, natural head-bobbing. Designed specifically to replace digital distraction with developmentally grounded, multi-sensory interaction — supporting cognitive, linguistic and motor milestones in alignment with UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance.
