This vacuum plate adapter is built for direct compatibility with Hayward SP1089 above-ground pool skimmers. Its footprint matches the SP1089’s inlet geometry, and it is made from solid PVC plastic weighing approx. 120 g. The unit includes a fixed 90° hose elbow supporting both 1¼ inch and 1½ inch vacuum hoses — no gasket supplied. Installation follows a simple sequence: connect hose first, then position plate either atop the skimmer basket or directly on the skimmer throat. This supports three real-world use cases: routine debris removal with basket in place; cleaning around pool walls or ladders where straight hose alignment is impossible; and deep-cleaning sessions requiring direct suction bypassing the basket entirely.
