Sprung Aluminium Loft Hatch Catch Tool

Engineered as a functional replacement component rather than a decorative accessory, this sprung catch tool delivers mechanical reliability for everyday loft access. Constructed from 6063-T5 aluminium alloy — known for its excellent extrudability, surface finish, and strength-to-weight ratio — it integrates a linear compression spring rated for >10,000 cycles. Dimensions are consistent with BS EN 13241-1 referenced hatch hardware: bolt diameter 6 mm, mounting hole centres 42 mm apart, overall height 22 mm. Includes four M3.5 × 12 mm cross-recessed screws with countersunk heads for clean, flush installation into softwood or MDF hatch edges. Colour options (black, white, silver) refer only to anodised finish — all variants share identical mechanical specifications.
