Description
Syringa Laciniata. Often Called Cut Leaf Or Persian Lilac.
SYRINGA
\nlaciniata
\nOften called Cut Leaf Lilac or Persian Lilac.
\nA graceful deciduous shrub or small tree that only ever reaches 6-8 feet.
\nThe dissected leaves are light to mid green and although the bush is densely covered with foliage it still has a light airy feel and in autumn the leaves turn a wonderful golden yellow before falling.
\nThis finely textured foliage is very attractive when compared to other members of the lilac family.
\nIn late spring and early summer Syringa laciniata carries erect or slightly arching clusters of very fragrant soft lavender/lilac flowers. These clusters or racemes are often up to 4 inches long.
\nSpent blooms should be deadheaded immediately, this helps produce stronger blossoms the following year.
\nAlthough a neutral to slightly alkaline soil is preferred it will grow in any reasonably fertile, well-drained site.
\nFully hardy, Syringa laciniata prefers a site in full sun but it will tolerate and even flower in partial shade.
\nThis rare beauty is a much prized and highly sought-after ornamental.
\nAll pictures used are of mature plants in bloom and are for illustration purposes only. They may not reflect plants at all times of the year.
\nOur plants are supplied ex. 8cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results may be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions

\nWhen ordering dates may vary a little if harvest or weather conditions are difficult.
\nWe ask all our buyers to remember plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons. Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.
\n We want you to be happy with your purchase and all our items are checked and inspected visually before packing. at . . Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. . . .
