Ultra Lightweight Map Compass with Declination Scale

Weighing only 1.3 oz (36 g), this compact baseplate compass is precision-engineered for outdoor navigation. Constructed with durable transparent acrylic baseplate and high-contrast black-on-white dial markings for readability. Features a fully rotating bezel with integrated declination scale, built-in 3× magnifier lens, and six printed measurement scales (including metric and imperial units) along the edge of the baseplate. Includes a break-away safety lanyard for secure wear or attachment to gear. The declination scale allows quick and repeatable adjustment for true north alignment — essential for accurate map-to-ground orientation across UK and European topographic maps. The smooth-turning bezel supports rapid bearing acquisition and back-bearing verification. The 3× magnifier enables clear reading of fine contour lines, grid references, and small-scale map symbols — especially useful with Ordnance Survey and IGN maps. Ideal for hiking, backpacking, orienteering, camping, bushcraft, scouting, and survival training. Designed for both beginners learning land navigation and experienced users who prioritise weight savings without compromising accuracy.
