The housing is made from flame-retardant ABS plastic (UL94 V-0 rated), and the adapter conforms to RS232 standard voltage levels (±12 V), supporting data rates up to 115.2 kbps. It is bus-powered and does not require an external power source. Driver support spans Windows 7–11, macOS 10.14–14, and mainstream Linux kernels (5.4+), with automatic enumeration on most systems.
