W1209 DC12V Thermostat Compact Precise

Size: 48.5 × 40 × 15.8 mm; lightweight plastic housing. Temperature control span: -50°C to +110°C. Display resolution: 0.1°C from -9.9°C to 99.9°C; 1°C beyond. Accuracy: ±0.1°C for both measurement and hysteresis setting. Refresh cycle: 0.5 seconds. Power input: DC12V only; consumption ≤35mA standby, ≤65mA during relay actuation. Output: integrated mechanical relay with 12V DC coil and screw-terminal connections. Sensor: compatible with generic 10KΩ ±0.5% NTC thermistors, including waterproof variants. The interface presents current temperature and setpoint side-by-side on a dual-line LED display. Hysteresis is adjustable from 0.1°C to 15°C—allowing fine-tuning for sensitive loads (e.g., enzymatic reactions) or coarse tolerance for robust heating elements. Relay activation includes brief debounce to prevent chatter during transient sensor noise. No software, no drivers, no cloud—just direct hardware-level control. Widely adopted across UK small-scale agriculture and craft manufacturing: controlling heat mats for rare plant propagation, regulating airflow in mycology fruiting chambers, stabilising temperatures in artisan cheese aging cabinets, managing heat distribution in converted shipping container grow rooms, and adding failsafe cutoffs to second-hand laboratory ovens—where proven simplicity trumps feature bloat.
