Wooden Clockwork Chess Timer

Dimensions: 15 x 5.5 x 9 cm. Material composition: Solid wood casing with integrated plastic structural components. Finish: Warm natural wood colour. Designed for dual-direction timing — count up and count down — using purely mechanical clockwork, requiring no batteries or charging. The internal gear-driven movement operates similarly to an analogue quartz clock but with manual winding and push-button player switching. Timekeeping consistency is verified at ≤±1 second daily deviation — compliant with national chess federation guidelines for non-digital timing equipment in rated games. Intended for regular use in UK chess clubs, primary/secondary school curricula, university societies, and home training. Its compact footprint fits comfortably on standard tournament boards, and its silent mechanical action avoids audio distraction during concentration-heavy phases of play.
